BCPC Congress 2020 goes virtual
8th October 2020The BCPC Congress will go ahead this year with the theme “The environment for UK crop production outside the EU – understanding the opportunities”. But, in common with so many events of its kind, current travelling and social distancing restrictions have required BCPC and organisers TSG Forum, to hold the 2020 Congress as a ‘virtual’ event.
This virtual event will use the latest technology to provide delegates with a highly effective experience which is simple to use. It will run over three consecutive mornings starting Tuesday 17 November 2020.
“We will have the usual extensive programme, with all the traditional elements, presentations from overseas and UK experts, with Q&A, workshop, sponsors’ exhibits and networking opportunities,” explains BCPC’s Chairman, Dr Colin Ruscoe. “Of course it will not quite capture the atmosphere and unique experience of the “BCPC Congress” event, which had been scheduled to move from Brighton to Harrogate this year, – but the new online format does offer a number of advantages.”
“Delegates will be able to attend conference sessions live and on-demand and participate in the virtual HSE workshop.Streams will run concurrently, but will be recorded and available for up to 30 days, so delegates can have multiple access opportunities to attend all the presentations they wish and connect with representatives of key regulatory authorities and industry colleagues. All this without the downsides of the time and added expense of travel and accommodation – and the traditional November Brighton weather! So why not consider reinvesting some of the saving on transport and accommodation by having more colleagues participate or raising your company’s profile by becoming a sponsor,” says Dr Ruscoe.
The full speaker programme is now available online along with details of costs and how to register for this year’s Congress. So, log on now to the Congress website book your place and sit back and enjoy an informative and unique experience.
